Redrock Machinery reports successful year
Northern Ireland based engineering company, Redrock Machinery Ltd recently reported “an extremely successful first year under new ownership.” Redrock, which supplies farming machinery into Europe, passed its first year annual sales target, increased its employee base and grew sales in key markets including Germany and Holland.
A long established brand, Redrock ran into financial difficulties in recent years and was purchased by Steel Solutions, headed up by local businessman Frank Flynn in 2010. Since then, Frank has refocused the Redrock business, streamlining and enhancing its machinery range and driving its presence in both existing and new markets.
As well as strengthening its presence throughout the UK and Ireland, Redrock has forged important export relationships in Europe over the past twelve months, with sales into Germany, Holland, Denmark and Finland now representing almost half of its sales.
“Redrock is a long established brand that had always been well regarded. It has been my strategy to return Redrock to delivering high quality cattle feeding and slurry handling equipment – and to develop it to its full potential through product innovation and increased productivity. We invested heavily into our product range, including a complete redevelopment and modernisation of a number of lines.
“We have increased efficiencies and improved our core offering, allowing us to compete effectively on an international basis.”
